About

Pat Henry
I live and work in a small fishing village north of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, on Banderas Bay. In 2006, I met Heather Wallace, creator of the Wallace Method, and my life took a new turn. I studied with Heather, wrote for her, and helped her promote the brilliant pain-management system she had developed over a 20-year period. Eventually I became certified as a practitioner.
I worked with clients on the table, but soon discovered that I preferred to help them learn ways to make changes in their own bodies by employing the same principles Heather had implemented for her practice. I have been teaching classes since 2008 and developing teaching techniques (Organic StretchingSM) that enable students to move extemporaneously following these unique guides. It has been very exciting to watch each individual breakthrough for students from 30 to 85.
My life has been full of adventures and many occupations: architect, university professor, navigator, captain, import textile entrepreneur, artist, author, solo-cicumnavigator under sail, owner of women’s sailing school, and Organic StretchingSM instructor. And as of today…blogger!
I have many passions, as well as occupations: Argentine tango dancer, permaculture gardener, traveller (more than 50 countries so far), music lover (jazz, classical, tango, world, and more, but live is best), art appreciator, and avid reader. There are always several books going at the same time…I will share the titles of the best with you.
On this blog, I will be writing about stretching and keeping your joints healthy and flexible. But if you are interested in other things I am doing, please visit my website newsletter for the occasional update on life, home and family.
